First THANK YOU to the many people reading these posts.
Second, all posts are available for comments and likes.
SOMEHOW I misunderstood the settings and they have been set so that only paid subscribers could comment and like. MY ERROR. I am fixing this … laboriously and one post at a time for all past posts.
It has always been my intention that ANYONE — free subscriber or paid — will be able to like and comment on all written posts.
To be clear, it has never been my attention to make this a paid subscriber ONLY site. I do this for the love of it … and to serve my readers. It’s free to you. A couple of very generous followers have voluntarily set up paid subscriptions for which I am deeply grateful. But it will always be voluntary.
Please accept my apologies. SO MANY are reading these posts and I am grateful and appreciative of every one of you. Please forgive my clumsiness on this very important issue. My doctorate is in history … obviously NOT in I.T. I think what happened is that when one of these folks set up a paid subscription, all my settings changed and I was not sharp enough to catch the change.
Again … PLEASE ALWAYS feel welcome to like and comment. That’s the whole idea.
Dr. Burchell, the early years.
Sending you more booklets ...
Thank you, professor. I was put-off by that messaging and ascribed it to substack as a sort of paywall. I’d have been happy to subscribe if only to support your invaluable work, but my current financial situation has me counting pennies. I’m happy for your clarification. Muchas gracias…
