I was in junior high in LA. We were at recess when we heard that JFK was shot. By the time we got back to the class room the principal was announcing that Kennedy was dead. Half of the kids cheered and clapped. That was LA in the day. American politics has never been the same. Maybe it never really was. We still haven't learned the lesson of the power of what is called the "Deep State".

I believe that "it never really was." Our history is one of land-theft, murder, and whlesale extraction from sea to shining sea ... and now beyond. The only god we are ACTUALLY devoted to is money. The rest is all talk.

To be fair, there has ALWAYS been a streak of equal-rights idealism or ideology in the mix. It started in 1776 with the revolution. But the "Spirit of '76" quickly gave way to corporate and banking charters -- of which the power to charter is not mentioned in the constitution. Long story. As you well know women's ... rights, racial rights, equal rights have had to be struggled for ... now for near 250 years. And at the moment we're going backward ... again.

Listen, thanks for reading and thanks for your comments. Onwards.

How to describe this man? A JFK only comes along every few hundred years. Such a sad day. My father (we're Canadian), was about the same age and who also steped up to defend liberty with body and mind, wept.
