Never forget, gentle readers, that the French won our revolution for us [perhaps more on this topic for a future post] and then embarked on their own world-changing revolt in which King Louis XVI lost his head. Both revolutions may well be said to have been co-opted in varying degree by the same elitist financial interests that still, for the great part, rule the world. But there is no question whatever that our democratic liberties are much expanded since the time of monarchy and we should all honor revolts that marked the struggle for them.

In our country the politicians lose their heads constantly(metaphorically). Unless, this is done by real application soon, we are condemned to an overdue revolution 🤣(lol).
