When I speak with friends, family, and colleagues about the Ukraine conflict, there seems to be a GREAT lack of information or understanding and a good deal of misinformation about how this conflict came about. This video is short, clear, and accurate.

The late Stephen F. Cohen was one of America’s greatest experts on Russian history and political development. He was professor of politics at Princeton University and then taught at New York University until retiring in 2011, when he became Professor Emeritus of Russian and Slavic Studies. His academic work concentrated on modern Russian history and Russia's relationship with the United States. He was a founding director of the American Committee for East–West Accord.
