Have you ever heard someone say that John Bolton is a former Trotsky follower? Or Jeanne Kirkpatrick? Remember her? If you’re under 65, you probably don’t - but it might behoove you to look into her. She was a major foreign policy adviser to Ronald Reagan and the first female ambassador to the UN. ALSO, a reconstructed (?) Trotsky-ite. So … don’t know the difference between a Stalinist and a Trotsky-ite? Have to admit a deficit in that area as well. But Caleb Maupin’s new book evidently traces the origins of the NEO-CONS (believe it or not) back to the Communist followers of Leon Trotsky. Quite a tale. This one is for politics and history nerds.
