WHY THE SECRET CHORUS PAYMENTS MATTER.

WHAT if there were a fast-growing, powerful element in society that is channeling public discussion AWAY from the most galvanizing and crucial issues of our time; the exact kind of issues and explosive events around which people naturally coalesce and create the change needed in our country and the world?

Ever ask yourself ”Why isn’t the population IN THE STREETS over Gaza? Why haven’t the citizens shut down the giant sucking sound of their taxes dumped into the Ukraine/Russia proxy-war DRAIN? Did we learn nothing from the Rwanda genocide? South African apartheid? The unlawful bombing of the Balkans? Wasn’t Iraq enough? Afghanistan? We are still IN Somalia … AND Ukraine. The earth is literally starting to cook; our glaciers disappearing overnight and the natural environment rapidly destroyed. And we have the live-stream slaughter and maiming of Palestinians openly justified by the same lebensraum (German: living space) rationalizations that scared Europe with the German, Polish, and Czech death-camps. Seriously: Why don’t people shut this crap down? Everyone ought to know that we have it in our power to do so.

It’s the commonest thing to hear friends, family, other citizens express the feeling that “I can’t do anything about it,” largely due to the enormous financial forces - corporations, billionaires, AIPAC, the banking and financial blob, and so on - with which we are truly faced.

But WHAT if there were another fast-growing, enormously powerful element in society that is channeling public discussion AWAY from these most galvanizing and crucial issues of our time; the exact kind of issues and life-or-death events that we know provoke action and response? That’s exactly what’s happening. And that is exactly why it is happening.

That force is called influencers and we all know how powerful they are. Powerful enough to get a president to announce a ban on TikTok; powerful enough to have Twitter (fuck Elon) throttled and censored by its multi-billionaire owner who bought it expressly for that purpose; powerful enough to get these and other influencer platforms banned outright around the world. Influencers are perhaps the single fastest growing part of the internet today and people are making fortunes at it with millions of followers.

Influencers are powerful. We all know it. And the CHORUS secret dark-money payments are important. They matter #1 because you can’t claim to be “independent” if you’re in someone else’s pocket. Period. They are important #2 because while Chorus itself was never secret, the dark-money payments WERE secret and the influencers who are often receiving sometimes tens of thousands of dollars were required under contract to keep the payments secret … until invesltigative reporter and writer Taylor Lorenz blew the lid off.

So listen, even if you already suspected or KNEW that the “fix is in” with the Democratic Party and that Blue MAGA is being controlled and steered away from confronting the most glaring and crucial issues of our time, you still didn’t know the how. Now you do. Or you should and may.

Could it be that their handlers don’t want them talked about too much … because … gulp ! … the paymasters and Democratic Party are up to their necks, deeply implicated, guilty, and taking in billions? The phrase “inconvenient truth” comes to mind.
