My mind has a way of running things out to their logical conclusion … rather quickly … often before parsing the individual elements. It is not intuition at work. It is more like comprehension and rapid application of logic-patterns … if that makes any sense to you.
In the case of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), the conclusion is that it will be a disaster for humanity — the end of humanity as we know it.
Don’t misunderstand: this is not the only species-destroying process in play at this time. It is simply the one addressed in this post.

My hope has always been that humanity grows up and wakes up. Even at an advanced and somewhat world-weary stage of life, I still like my life and my fellow human beings … for the greatest part.
Friends and colleagues know that I have adopted a few mottoes over the years. “Work for the best and prepare for the worst.” A more recent one is “KILL AI BEFORE IT KILLS US.” I’m not kiddin.
But no matter where YOU personally fall in the spectrum of this question, the following well-conducted interview by Novara Media should interest you. Why? Because you are being lied to about AI. Meet Karen Hao.

I’d listen to a clip of this interview, thanks for the prompt to hear the whole thing. GRIM. And too many remain unaware.
Thanks, Ken. I am very much concerned about the destructive force AI will prove to be on humanity. Apparently, the damage social media has caused isn't warning enough.
