One or two correctly answer this quiz; one thought it wise to email me privately = perhaps revealing some discomfort with public comment - and VERY few commented. It’s hard to know if this was due to lack of awareness, NOT knowing the answer, or a reluctance to comment publicly. We suspect the former.
The answer is that the red lines on this map outline the boundaries of what is called “the True Land of Israel” or “Eretz Israel” as defined in Jewish Davidic legend found in the Old Testament of the Bible (Christian terminology) or in the Books of the Prophets in Jewish terminology. This is the land that, according to Jews and indeed many Christians, was given to Abraham and his descendents. Take a close look again:
Greater Israel therefore has BOTH a biblical and political meaning. In its political sense, it may fairly be described as the Zionist Plan for the Middle East.
The concept of a “Greater Israel'', according to the founding father of Zionism Theodore Herzl, is a Jewish State stretching “from the Brook of Egypt to the Euphrates.”
Thus it included modern countries or regions as follows:
All of historic Palestine
South Lebanon to Sidon and the Litani River
The Golan Heights in Syria, Hauran Plain and Deraa
Hejaz Railway from Deraa to Amman, Jordan as well as the Gulf of Aqaba
Great portions of Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and all of Jordan and Lebanon.
The current ruling paarty of Israel, the Likud and its coalition of Zionist fanatics, are methodically and strategically siezing more and more land from their neighbors, originally just in Palestine and Gaza and now in both Syria and Lebanon.
Lest there be any doubt as to the Zionist goal, here is the:
Likud Charter:
The Right of the Jewish People to the Land of Israel (Eretz Israel)
The right of the Jewish people to the land of Israelis eternal and indisputable and is linked with the right to security and peace; therefore, Judea and Samaria will not be handed to any foreign administration; between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty.
A plan which relinquishes parts of western Eretz Israel, undermines our right to the country, unavoidably leads to the establishment of a “Palestinian State,” jeopardizes the security of the Jewish population, endangers the existence of the State of Israel. and frustrates any prospect of peace.
Genuine Peace-Our Central Objective
The Likud government will place its aspirations for peace at the top of its priorities and will spare no effort to promote peace. The Likud will act as a genuine partner at peace treaty negotiations with our neighbors, as is customary among the nations. The Likud government will attend the Geneva Conference. .
The Likud governments peace initiative will he positive. Directly or through a friendly state. Israel will invite her neighbors to hold direct negotiations, in order to sign without preconditions on either side and without any solution formula invented by outsiders (invented outside ).
At the negotiations each party will be free to make any proposals it deems lit.
Settlement
Settlement. both urban and rural. in all parts of the Land of Israel is the focal point of the Zionist effort to redeem the country, to maintain vital security areas and serves as a reservoir of strength and inspiration for the renewal of the pioneering spirit. The Likud government will call on the younger generation in Israel and the dispersions to settle and help every group and individual in the task of inhabiting and cultivating the wasteland, while taking care not to dispossess anyone.
Arab Terror Organizations
The PLO is no national liberation organization but an organization of assassins, which the Arab countries use as a political and military tool, while also serving the interests of Soviet imperialism, to stir up the area. Its aim is to liquidate the State of Israel, set up an Arab country instead and make the Land of Israel part of the Arab world. The Likud government will strive to eliminate these murderous organizations in order to prevent them from carrying out their bloody deeds
So interesting that while they speak of “Arab Terror,” the most extreme examples we have before us — though, to be sure not the only ones — are those perpetrated by the Israeli state itself.
