Alexander Dugin and the Fourth Political Theory

THE FOURTH POLITICAL THEORY was not easy to obtain when I first read it. I had to order a copy from England from a gray-market dealer at about double its jacket price. There was no interlibrary loan, no Amazon copy, no eBay copy, no ThriftBooks copy — you get the picture. It felt a bit like obtaining a bit of contraband. Things are changing on that score Someone has since posted an excellent digital copy so that it is available online for free … at least for now. The link is at the bottom of the page.

Far easier than reading Dugin’s book, the following interview just appeared online. His English is easily understood. If the past is our guide, it may be well to listen before it gets censored, suppressed, or otherwise disappeared.

Why should you care ? So you can be one of three or four people in the country actually qualified to comment on Russia and Ukraine? OK. Or in order to know how Pres. Putin and a good many of his citizens think Hint: you almost certainly don’t. Viewers may also gain some insight as to why Republicans — once the sworn enemy of ALL things Russian — have developed a taste for Russian diplomacy and LOST their taste for the Ukraine proxy-war. And why the Democratic Party — once the seat of the US antiwar movement now — now waves the bloody shirt and supports the cause of war, even World War.

And as the Fates would have it, we also have a very fresh demonstration of Dugin’s influential ideas laid out by none other than Viktor Orbán, the bad-boy and alternate face of NATO. This interview makes an almost perfect compliment to Dugin’s more academic presentation. Rumor is that Carlson is angling to interview Pres. Putin next. Look … even if you love to hate these guys, you need to know how they think.
