and a note to the readers

Your author has been “on leave” for a couple of weeks, pleasantly distracted by a family visit and a short vacation. Apologies for the hiatus.

It is well that we remember and CELEBRATE Bastille Day, not least because without the French there very likely would have been no USA. If you would like a well -documented account of just why this is so, I’d recommend AMERICAN AURORA by Richard N. Rosenfeld. Now … if only our citizens had the courage to lop off the heads of our own aristocracy of wealth. While there is life, there is hope.
